A collection of creations that – poetically speaking – aspire to master space, time, speed, and acceleration: these are the principal physical quantities that – taken together- form the coordinate system that allows us to understand “vibration”. Vibration is a wave motion, triggering a pressure variation and generating a sound; from vibration – always – music emanates. Music, therefore, understood as a complex physical phenomenon that is open to human perception, both corporeal and emotional. Astera, Didascalìa, and Dynamis were designed to offer a rich, complete, engaging, and emotional listening experience.
COLLEZIONE CLASSIC
We believe the essence of the Diapason Classic Collection is perfectly expressed by a quote from the great Italo Calvino, who, in “Why Read the Classics,” explained that in literature (but also in all artistic forms, in all forms of human expression and creativity), a classic is “something which tends to relegate current events to the rank of background noise but, at the same time, cannot exists without this background noise.”
Only the things, the artifacts which has transcended the dimension of time have the enduring capacity to speak to the present, to the” here and now”, transmitting universal values that must always be addressed. The Diapason Classic Collection was created to immortalize – through its model – the philosophy, insights, and original spirit of our approach to music reproduction, which over nearly 40 years of history has become a classic of the audio world. Features such as Direct Drive technology, the use of solid wood for the cabinets, supported by careful management of diffraction patterns through the adamantine shapes, the adoption of minimalist crossovers and the “studio monitor” vocation, aimed at delivering every musical content with maximum integrity, are pillars of the Diapason approach.
For us too, periodically returning to listen to Micra, Karis, and Adamantes, continuing to consistently refine them, remains a revelatory experience that serves to direct our daily activities in the same way as consulting a compass to orient ourselves during navigation.

La Collezione Reference di Diapason rappresenta l’assoluto vertice costruttivo e tecnologico del marchio: è il contesto ideale per consentire alla creatività, all’artigianalità – a quella competenza, maturata in decenni di attività – di spingere oltre il limite del possibile.
Una famiglia di progetti elettro-acustici caratterizzati da soluzioni tecniche originali, spesso non convenzionali, talvolta estreme e concepiti senza compromessi di sorta.
Un insieme di creazioni che – detto poeticamente – ha l’ambizione di maneggiare spazio, tempo, velocità e accelerazione: sono le principali grandezze fisiche che – nel loro insieme – formano il sistema di coordinate che ci permette di comprendere “la vibrazione”. La vibrazione è un moto ondulatorio,
innesca una variazione di pressione e genera un suono; dalla vibrazione promana – sempre – la musica. Musica dunque intesa come fatto fisico complesso che si porge alla percezione umana, sia corporea sia emotiva. Astera, Didascalìa e Dynamis sono state concepite per offrire un’esperienza d’ascolto ricca, completa, coinvolgente ed emozionante.

L’essenza della Collezione Classic di Diapason riteniamo sia perfettamente espressa da una citazione del grande Italo Calvino che, in “Perché leggere i classici”, spiegava che in letteratura (Ma anche in tutte le forme artistiche, in tutte le forme dell’espressione e della creatività umane) è classico “ciò che tende a relegare l’attualità al rango di rumore di fondo ma, nello stesso tempo, di questo rumore di fondo non può fare a meno”.
Solo ciò ha oltrepassato la dimensione del tempo ha la capacità imperitura di parlare al presente, al qui ed ora, trasmettendo valori universali con cui confrontarsi sempre. La Collezione Classic di Diapason nasce per immortalare – tramite i progetti che la compongono – la filosofia, le intuizioni e lo spirito originario del nostro approccio alla riproduzione musicale che, in quasi 40 anni di storia, è diventato un classico del mondo audio. Accorgimenti come la tecnologia Direct Drive, l’utilizzo del legno massello per i cabinet, corroborato da un’attenta gestione dei pattern di diffrazione attraverso le forme adamantine, l’adozione di cross-over minimalisti e la vocazione da “studio monitor”, tesa a porgere ogni contenuto musicale con la massima integrità, sono tutti cespiti fondamentali dell’approccio Diapason.
Anche per noi ritornare periodicamente ad ascoltare Micra, Karis e Adamantes, continuando a perfezionarle con coerenza, rimane un’esperienza rivelatrice che ha la funzione di indirizzare la nostra attività odierna alla stessa stregua della consultazione di una bussola per orientarsi nella navigazione.
